Who Rules The World
“Women are leaders everywhere you look -- from the CEO who runs a Fortune 500 company to the housewife who raises her children and heads her household. Our country was built by strong women, and we will continue to break down walls and defy stereotypes.”
What happened when I gathered a bunch of phenomenal women?!
Freaking magic!
An educator, a philanthropist, a retail business owner, a lifestyle influencer, a life coach, a beauty and well-being extraordinaire, a Caribbean VIP director, and ME, the wanderlust, style enthusiast, luxury international event owner.
The idea came about because of my hectic schedule full of traveling. I live in two countries, so my time commitment can be challenging when I'm in Toronto. I want to see everyone, but unfortunately this is not always possible.
So, why not get everyone together and celebrate our fabulousness? I invited these phenomenal women by not telling them until the last minute how many people were attending. 80% of them did not know each other. I wanted it to be an authentic gathering. Just women getting together with no preconceived notions, no background research, nothing. Just smart, wonderful, extraordinary, beautiful, stylish women in one room, having fun, celebrating and supporting each other, and giving ideas and solutions. There were many fantastic moments.
We live in a world where some women feel that if they support and cheer for each other, it will take away their opportunity, their chance, their spotlight. What needs to be understood and screamed out loud is “What is for you, will never pass you.” And at this dinner, it was identified even more.
Was there some awkwardness, I did not see it. The pictures seen are true captures of the evening, nothing fake. Ok, we did plan to walk down the street together. But the emotions, the laughter, the silliness was real. The ladies fit together like a perfect pair of shoes, or like a dress, or like the perfect spot at the pool, or like a glove (you get the point).
Thank you to all the lovely ladies who made this a memorable and enjoyable night; we literally shut the place down. I am sure there are many more to come. As an event planner, I may take this awesomeness on the road in some spectacular destination.
Women celebrating women IS possible and this night proved it many times over.
Super fabulous right? Have you done something like this before and if not, has this inspired you to?
See you soon.
